Silver

Natural Silver, Polished Silver, Antique Silver & Vermeil

Sterling Silver is the most commonly used Silver in jewelry, and consist primarely of Silver (92.5%), with a small percentage of Copper added to increase its durability and strength. Unlike pure Silver, which is too soft for most practical uses, the addition of Copper makes Sterling Silver more versatile while preserving the bright, lustrous appearance of Silver. This alloy is beloved for its ability to maintain the elegant sheen of Silver, while offering more longevity and resilience in everyday wear.

Natural & Polished
A Natural finish follows from a perfect cast that is afterwards finished with magnetic tumbling. This tumbling process will have a light impact, creating evenness on the surface.

A Polished finish takes additional steps after the tumbling process, expert craftsman finish & polish your design to your desired outcome for a Polished finish.

Antique Silver
An antique finish is achieved after your design is Polished. The details of your design will stand out in darker shades due to the application of a time-sensitive post-processing treatment on your design.

Vermeil
Vermeil is widely known in the jewelry industry as a Silver product with a Gold Plating.

At Castimize we offer this solution with a 2.5 micron 18 Carat Gold Plating. Our Vermeil follows the production process for Polished Silver and after the electroplating process is completed the Gold plating is attached to the 92.5% Sterling Silver.

Silver Wear & Care Guidelines

  • Cleaning: Use a non-ionic or anionic detergent with distilled water, or warm water with dish soap. Gently clean with a microfiber cloth, rinse with cold water, and dry with a soft cloth.
  • Storage: Store silver in a box with moisture absorbers (like silica gel or charcoal). Wrap in velvet or microfiber cloth and store separately in a jewelry box.
  • Wearing: Avoid wearing silver while sleeping, bathing, exercising, or swimming.
  • Protection: Keep silver away from smoke, rubber, newspaper, wool, felt, and acidic woods like oak.
  • Friction: Regular wear helps prevent tarnish buildup.
  • Jewelry Care: Put on silver jewelry last to avoid contact with perfumes, creams, and makeup.

Brass

Natural Brass & Polished Brass

Brass is incredibly malleable due to addition of Zinc and a little bit of Tin to the Copper  creating the alloy: Brass.

Brass composition, driven by the interaction between Zinc & Copper, gives less room for the color of Copper to dominate the appearance. This results in the creation of a lighter, more yellow appearance on your design.

Just like any non-precious metals, Brass is sensitive to tarnishing over-time. On your behalf we’ve secured the application of a nano-coating on the end-product to help you protect your product against tarnishing!

Bronze

Natural Bronze & Polished Bronze

Bronze is a bit less malleable than Brass due to the larger contribution of Tin to this alloy.

Bronze has proven to be incredibly well-suited for the creation of products. Bronze is timeless in an earth like manner and ancient in its use by civilizations across the globe. Bronze is characterized by an authentic red shade in its appearance which it neatly captured from the Copper in its alloy.

Copper

Natural Copper & Polished Copper

Whereas Brass & Bronze are an alloy containing copper,  our Copper is based out of 100% pure copper. Due to its incredible conductivity, Copper is a functional solution for mechanical and industry applications.

Copper is recognized for its vivid red colors and is unique in its own as such. Even Gold alloys gladly make use of this distinctive appearance, by applying copper in our alloy, such as for Castimize’s 14 Carat Rose Gold!

Plated Brass – Wear & Care Guidelines
Please be aware that the Plating will wear and tear over-time with use. This can generate tarnishing effects in which case having your models replaced is advised. On your behalf we’ve secured the application of a nano-coating on the end-product to help you protect your product against tarnishing.

We would not recommend to trigger any corrosion processes more rapidly (such as by wearing your product during spots, swimming or showering or exposing to product to other sources of chemicals and moisture)
